Getting to Shkrel Municipal Nature Park

By car: The park can be reached easily by car. Most of the roads are asphalted so there is no need for an off-road vehicle.

By bus: From Tirana, buses and coaches to Shkoder depart frequently (every hour, or every 45 minutes during the summer) from Karl Topia Square, known as Zogu i Zi. Once in Shkoder, buses and coaches leave for Koplik from the Rus roundabout every hour. In Koplik, the furgons (local vans) to Shkrel depart every hour from the intersections of city center, which lead to Shkrel. The whole trip from Tirana by bus takes about 3-3.5 hours.

By plane: The nearest airport is Tirana International Airport, from where taxis can provide transportation services to Shkrel. Another option is to get on the Express bus to the Tirana city center. From there, follow the instructions above on how to get to Shkrel by bus. It is also possible to fly to Podgorica and get a taxi/bus from there to Shkoder. From Shkoder, the journey can be continued by bus or coach following the steps detailed above.

By ferry: Shkrel Municipal nature Park can be reached by boat from the bridge over Lake Shkoder in Buna. There are various licensed ferry companies that passengers can choose from. One of these being SMO Vataksi.
